September 16, 2021 at the Department of Uzbek and Foreign Languages, a seminar was held on the topic “The system of educational schools of TMA”, which was moderated by a teacher from the United States, Chase Nice Mikes. The seminar was attended by the teaching staff and students of the Tashkent Medical Academy. Chase Nees explained the medical education system, cited statistics, introduced the stages, duration of study and the cost of the contract in the United States. The participants took part in the discussion with great enthusiasm. A comparison was made with our country, many questions were asked, and opinions were discussed as to the relevance of certain orders and laws and whether they could be applied to local conditions. Moreover, the students were especially impressed by the fact that only university graduates can enter medical school in the United States, that is, they must already have a bachelor’s degree from the institute where chemistry was taught.
After the knowledge provided, our students of the Tashkent Medical Academy expressed their emotions clearly by commenting that they began to value much more the possibility of direct admission after school, college or lyceum to medical universities in Uzbekistan. Both students and teachers left a good impression of the event and wished to continue the series of educational activities with native speaker and American cultured Chase Nees Michael.
